Headache Migraine Treatment
This is a terrific site for headaches! Owned by an acupuncturist and herbalist extraordinaire, Alison Reid-Bretell unlocks the secrets of different types of headaches, explaining symptoms, causes, various treatment methods and offers to you her tried-and-true herbal/nutritional combinations in her headache treatment kits. Very informative site with products that work. If you have been plagued by headaches, relief is forthcoming. Just as with my gallbladder starter kit, if you are in doubt as to which one to order, start with her migraine headache kit A.

Diverticulitis, IBS and other Bowel Problems
This is a great site for information about bowel problems from constipation to serious bowel diseases. I learned about Equilib from Paula Tipton-Healy who includes it as part of her kits for specific bowel problems. It is a terrific product for IBS and Paula has more products that are just as effective. You will benefit from her expertise. I recommend her site and her consultations highly.

Gallbladder-Related

s.a. Wilsons Therapy Blend
Therapeutic organic coffee for use in coffee enemas.
Clinically power, Lab Tested, 100% Certified Organic
Enema coffee.
Best to grind your own. I recommend their open buckets that are easier for cleaning as well as the red Rusch tubes and connectors.

Gallbladder Diet-Related Sites

Omega Nutrition
Source of unrefined certified organic flax oil and essential fatty acid oils. They carry the garlic chili flax oil recommended in my good fats vs bad fats newsletter.

Barlean's Organic Oils
Barlean's Omego Swirl is a new line of emulsified essential fatty acids which are delicious and seem to be much easier on fat digestion. Mango/peach is our favorite and it's a mix of oils, primarily fish oil. You'd never know; there is no taste of fish at all.

Weston A. Price is a non-profit organization dedicated to the education of unadulterated, real foods. They have a large library of articles on everything from good fats and bad fats to why butter is better than substitutes. Why is organic better? And articles on the vitamins and other nutrients that are killed when we pasteurize milk etc. etc. Fascinating reading.

Gluten-free Gallbladder-friendly Crackers
These raw whole food snacks are the best I've had. Unlike many gluten-free options these crackers are packed with flavor. At this time the only one without onions is the Caraway but I hear they are coming out with a Sourdough, also gluten-free. After you've been on your gallbladder program long enough that you are able to eat more, their pesto and pizza flavors are terrific.

Website Design and Search Engine Optimization

Surf4 Design Group
If you like this site, you'll like this design group. They are excellent at search engine optimization as well and well design with that in mind. As of October 2008 I have over 50,000 individual visitors to my site per week. This doesn't happen by chance; it takes good planning, good writing and experts behind the scenes. That's Surf4 Design. They do it all from designing, hosting, mapping your website statistics so that you can see what's working and what's not, and optimizing your site. Most designers do not optimize properly if at all and there's no point in having a good looking site if no one can find you. And to top it all off, they're honest and reasonably priced! I recommend them highly.
Update: as of August 14, 2009 we had 78,377 visitors in one week, or 1,277,776 hits.

    AFTER GALLBLADDER REMOVAL
What you need to know after your gallbladder has been removed.

Did You Know?

that biliary dyskinesia, low functioning gallbladder or sphincter of oddi dysfunction may be helped by acupuncture?

Gastrointest Endosc 2001; 53:211-6 reports that "
Electroacupuncture may relax the sphincter of oddi in humans".

This study found that performing low frequency electro-stimulation at acupuncture point gallbladder 34 served to relax the sphincter muscle that allows the flow of bile into the small intestine for digestion. It also increased the hormone levels of CCK which contributes to gallbladder contraction.

Fats are important but it's the right fats that count. If you are in pain now, try the beet recipe which calls for some flax oil.

Research shows that a balanced diet high in cis unsaturated fats
(essential fatty acids) may reduce risk of gallstones, especially in men.(1)

Gallbladder attacks are more commom than you may think. Gallstones affect more than 25 million American (our total population being 310 million in early 2011). One million new cases of gallstones are diagnosed annually, according to the American Gastroenterological Association.

500,000-700,000 gallbladder removals take place every year in the USA alone, and since the diet of the general American population is not improving, those numbers are rising.

"Thanks for your web site. Your beet recipe was a great help to me. After suffering pain for more than a week. I went to the doctor and the E.R., but they could not even tell me what was wrong. After the pain got worse I had a CAT scan and the doctor told me he thought it was my gallbladder. After getting frustrated waiting for doctors, my wife found your site. I feel better, but not completely better, and I am very hungry only making veggie and fruit juice, and eating fish, rice, and yams."

DID YOU KNOW...
that
food allergies can
also bring on a gallbladder attack? If you are one of those people who never knows what foods will bring on an attack, read about the
allergy diet.

I had a significant improvement in my symptoms the day after I talked to Debbie. She told me that there was a reason that grapes were recommended for my problem, so I went home and prepared the grapes. The next evening I felt a great lessening of the pressure and pain in my chest, so whatever was blocking my bile ducts had receded or gotten smaller. In the following days I was able to eat the beet recipe and gradually I've been able to introduce heavier foods with no problems. Of course I'm taking her digestive supplements and will be placing another order soon -and I'm being very vigilant about my diet. I want to thank you all for all the great wisdom I've learned from Debbie and her website. I'm a huge fan. You really helped me out of a tough spot medically. I've learned a great lesson from it.

Thank you. This is the most
helpful site Ive found after my
first full fledged weekend of pain. Time for change.

Day ten on the gall bladder starter kit and the pain is gone. Following the diet regime and taking the supplements and the improvement is amazing. I appreciate all the advice on you website and in the emails and am changing my lifestyle as directed. The results are most gratifying. You know your stuff and present it well. I am most appreciative.
